Glossary - S

SAS

(Serial Attached SCSI) is a serial bus, which replaces the parallel SCSI bus. It connects hard drives in server systems mainly because of its speed.

SATA

serial ATA is a computer bus that uses a data interface for connecting mass memory storage devices such as hard disks and optical disks. It achieves higher performance than ATA controller because the transmission is performed serially at a high frequency and supports disconnecting and connecting the machine while the computer is running (Hot Plug). Developmentally, there are several specifications that differ in transfer speeds e.g. SATA-1, SATA-2, SATA-3.

SCSI

(Small Computer System Interface) is a computer bus that uses data interface for connecting mass memory storage devices such as hard disks and optical disks. The advantage of SCSI is the ability to connect a large number of hard disks (or other peripherals) than ATA. It was used in older server systems because of its transfer speed. SCSI drives have typically higher speed records, slower access speed, and greater durability.

Software

is a generic name for all programs that perform some action (usually in a computer). Software can be divided into system SW that ensures the operation of the device itself and its communication with the environment (operating system) and on application SW with which the user works or it ensures control of a machine.

SSD disk

(Solid State Drive) is a data storage device. Similarly to the hard disk drive (HDD), SSD is used for example in computers. It does not contain any moving parts and is characterized by greater speed of writing and reading data than HDD. It works on the principle of flash memory.

Storage media

is a device used for entering and storing digital information. Storage media are adapted to connect to various devices through which it is possible to work with data. Amongst the storage media are: hard drives, SSDs, USB flash drives, CD and DVD disks, Floppy disks, memory cards, and more.

What we recover and how it works?

We will recover your lost data from HDD, SSD, RAID arrays, NAS, USB flash drives, memory cards, DVD recorders and camcorders and other data media. We perform data recovery in our professionally equipped laboratory. You only pay for successfully restored data.
