Why is data recovery expensive?

Cost professional data recovery, with minimal risk of data loss,is determined by three main factors:

  • Specialized and very expensive equipment.
  • Qualified personnel must first go through a long training and harboring experience.

Will the disk be fully functional after the data recovery?
If the disk was physically fully functional before the recovery and therefore it possessed a software defect, then the disk will be operational. Unless it had a hardware failure, and it will not be functional.

Why isn't it possible to repair a disk with hardware (mechanical) damage?
The disks are specially calibrated during their manufacture. All mechanical processes taking place in the disk are occurring at high speeds and microscopic distances from each of the individual components. When dismantling the diskthese inside parts are loosened and can no longer be calibrated to the original state from the manufacturer. The diskis thus not suitable for data storage.

How can I deliver the disk to you for repair?
Delivery of the disk can happen in several ways.

  1. You can deliver the damaged medium personally to our laboratory.
  2. A courier will pick it up for free and deliver the shipment with the disk to our laboratory for entrance diagnosis.
  3. You can send it to our laboratory address.
  4. In case you are in a hurry, we will send you an EXPRESS carrier.

In what way will you deliver my recovered data to me?
We will save the recovered data on a solid disk, external or flash disk provided by you or one bought by us for you. After an agreement, it is, of course, possible to choose a different way of data delivery(FTP, CD/DVD).

What are the possible ways of payment for the data recovery?

  • bank transfer in advance

Is the warranty still in place after data recovery?
Breach of the disk warranty can be made in case that the internal construction have to be accessed during data recovery. We always try to keep the warranty and will not breach it without you consent.

Can I check the data before paying?
Yes, in case of pick-up of the recovered data in person, there is a computer available on which you can go over the recovered data. Recently, we also offerpossibility of an online check of the data through remote desktop connection.

Is it possible to carry out the entrance diagnosis while I wait?
Yes, in some cases disk diagnosis is possible to be carried out while you wait. It depends on the individual agreement. We always do our best to satisfy the customer.

Can I be present at your laboratory during the data recovery?
Data recovery is performed in the dust-free anti-static environment, and since we accentuate protection of the data, outside people are not allowed to enter our laboratory. If the customer is not able to turn in the data to the third party due to safety or other reasons, we offer mobile laboratory services.

What if I decide to not go with data recovery after diagnosis?
If you will not wish to perform data recovery, we will return the data medium to you for free.
